As part of their forward development, we are now looking for a junior tester who wants to grow with them. We at Asta Agency are collaborating with Knowit Dataunit in this recruitment process. It is a consulting assignment with a good opportunity for employment with them. You will initially be employed by Asta Agency and work as a consultant at Knowit Dataunit.

About the Position

As a Junior Tester, you will be part of an engaged team where you will quickly take part in sharp projects. You will receive a well-thought-out introduction and be involved in testing work early on, with support from mentors and colleagues, with the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility. Your tasks will involve ensuring that the solutions/systems maintain high quality. You will alternate between structured test cases and exploratory testing, verify bug fixes, and assist in installing and maintaining test environments. 

The position is suitable for you who want to combine technical problem-solving with an understanding of the whole, from the customer’s needs to a finished solution with high quality. The projects you are involved in work in sprints with daily stand-up meetings and close collaboration within the project team. The introduction program is tailored to your needs, but you will quickly be able to contribute to the work, even if full independence in some areas is built up over time. Here, there is a team that always helps and supports when questions arise and suits you who are curious, not afraid to ask questions, and willing to challenge your colleagues. 

Responsibilities:

• Plan, execute, and document tests based on requirements and goals.
• Write and maintain test cases and conduct regression, acceptance, and smoke tests.
• Verify bug fixes and follow up in the issue management system.
• Install, configure, and maintain test facilities/test environments.
• Collaborate closely with developers and contribute to clear communication and traceable documentation.
• Drive improvements in working methods and testing methods over time.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who has:

• Completed post-secondary education in IT, for example in computer science, information architecture, or similar. 
• Basic knowledge/understanding of testing methodology.
• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing. 
• Interest in automation. 
• Swedish citizenship, as the process also includes a security clearance class 3. 

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in the military or defense-related activities.
